Bangalore, India – At the grand trailer launch event for Geetu Mohandas’ much-anticipated gangster drama Toxic, held in Bangalore on August 8, actor Yash made a powerful statement about the film’s identity and the collaborative spirit that brought it to life. The actor, who has become a pan-Indian phenomenon, declared that Toxic transcends regional boundaries, calling it an “Indian film” rather than just a Kannada, Tamil, or Telugu project. “I believe in one thing, now it is no more Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, this is an Indian film,” Yash remarked, drawing loud applause from the audience.

Yash emphasized that Toxic represents a coming together of talented individuals from across the industry, setting an example for Indian cinema’s future. “This movie is not Yash’s film, this is an Indian film,” he said, adding that the project is a testament to what happens when creative people from different backgrounds collaborate for a shared vision. The actor, known for his blockbuster K.G.F franchise, made a bold and humbling admission about the realities of working with a large ensemble cast. “Every actor is selfish. That’s the fact,” Yash stated, acknowledging that insecurity and discomfort are natural when working alongside such a talented group.

However, Yash credited the film’s success to the cast and crew’s ability to set aside their egos for a larger purpose. “This film has happened because all these lovely, talented, successful people have kept their egos aside,” he said. “They have just come with one cause to put Indian film on a global platform.” His comments shed light on the dedication and unity required to bring a massive project like Toxic to life. As the film gears up for its release, Yash’s remarks have set the tone for a project that aims to showcase Indian cinema’s potential on a global stage.
