New York, USA – A quiet shift is underway in how stardom intersects with fashion, and Triptii Dimri stands right at the cusp of it. The actor has been named the first-ever Indian brand ambassador for Victoria’s Secret, marking a historic milestone for Indian representation on the global fashion stage. In an exclusive conversation backstage at the announcement, Dimri opened up about the significance of the moment, her evolving personal style, and the importance of authenticity. The energy in the room was palpable as she prepared to step out, having just made history.

“For me, this means a great deal,” Dimri said of the association. “I remember watching the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show as a kid with my sister and being mesmerised by it. Now that I’ve gotten the opportunity to be an ambassador and represent my own country, I feel extremely proud. It’s also wonderful to represent Indian women and their confidence.” The actor, who has previously starred in critically acclaimed films like Bulbbul and Qala, reflected on how her personal style has evolved over the years. “Earlier, I would follow the trends, wear what everybody else was wearing to look cool. But I think I failed at that, and now, my style involves anything that I feel comfortable in, anything that makes me feel more like myself.”

Dimri’s appointment is a significant step for Victoria’s Secret, which has been undergoing a brand transformation to embrace greater diversity and inclusivity. The actor’s own journey from trend follower to someone who dresses for herself mirrors the values of confidence and self-acceptance the brand now champions. She also shared her fashion preferences, expressing a love for structured, tailored looks and a firm aversion to anything uncomfortable. When asked about her off-duty style, she revealed, “Everything from the Summer Signature collection. It’s just too comfortable.”

Looking ahead to the next phase of her career, both in fashion and film, Dimri said she is seeking roles that challenge her as an actor and feel authentic, real, and honest. As she continues to break barriers, Dimri’s appointment as Victoria’s Secret’s first Indian ambassador signals a new era of global representation, with her at the forefront.
