Chennai, India – Tamil cinema star Vijay Sethupathi and acclaimed filmmaker Balaji Tharaneetharan are reuniting for their third collaboration, a new film titled Baththa. The announcement was made on Wednesday with the unveiling of a first-look poster featuring Vijay Sethupathi in a striking vintage look, smoking a beedi. The film, presented by Atlee and produced by Priya Atlee under the banners A Cine1 Studios and A For Apple Studios, is set to release in theatres on October 1.
The film features actor Lijomol Jose as the female lead, with music scored by Sai Abhyankkar. The technical team includes cinematographer Selva Kumar SK and editor R Kalaivanan. Murad Khetani, Priya Atlee, Alok Jain, and Ajit Andhara serve as producers. While details regarding the plot and the rest of the cast remain under wraps, the reunion of Vijay Sethupathi and Balaji Tharaneetharan has generated significant buzz.
